Location

Our B&B is located less than 10 minutes from the Carcassonne airport and 15 minutes from the center of the medieval city. It is located on a domain of 12HA, in the shade of a castle and surrounded by the vineyards of the Cabardès. You can hire a car at the airport or we will come and pick you up there on request. PENNAUTIER is only a few km from Carassonne and can be reached by means of the motorway between Narbonne and Toulouse both at a 45 minute distance.

What to see and do / Surroundings

Our B &B lies in the heart of the “Aude” and the Cathar country, surrounded by many unique castles (Peyrepertuse, Lastours, Puivert…). The medieval city of Carassonne, protected by UNESCO, is still considered one of the most beautiful medieval cities of Europe and is a “must” to visit. Carcassonne is also the 2nd most visited city of France. Furthermore it is very convenient for cyclists, walkers or bikers. The landscape is open with gently sloping hills. Sometimes it is difficult to make a choice : going to the beach (+/- 45 min.) or skiing (1:50 H) in the Pyrenees, or simply relaxing at the swimming pool. There is also the “canal du Midi”, another UNESCO site, within a stone’s throw from our B&B.

About'Le Clos Des Troubadours'

A place where people enjoy nature

About Us

After more than 30 years of working in a Dentistry Lab, I was ready for a new challenge. Denise felt the same way after long years of working in the cosmetics industry. We both have a passion for cooking and enjoy meeting new people. You are assured of a warm welcome with us.

The beautiful surroundings and unique location, the good weather, the daily connections with Ryanair and the moral support of our children, convinced us to take the big step. After 2 years of reconstruction works , we are ready for it.
